Art Southampton, the leading international contemporary & modern art fair and marketplace for acquiring the finest investment quality works of art available in the Hamptons returns at the height of the social and cultural season for its third year July 24-28, 2014. Presented by Art Miami LLC, Art Southampton is the season’s most acclaimed art fair representing the unique convergence of world class art complimented by leading luxury purveyors. The fair features a carefully selected group of over 80 international art galleries with a strong focus on works from the 20th and 21st centuries including paintings, photography, prints, drawings, design, video art, sculpture and indoor and outdoor curated projects of the highest quality. The fair kicks off with a Platinum VIP Preview on Thursday, July 24.

Art Southampton will continue to take place in a spectacular 100,000-square-foot air-conditioned pavilion on the sprawling 18-acre estate behind the Southampton Elks Lodge adjacent to the Southampton Golf Club located directly off Route 27 A. The location of the Art Southampton pavilion provides convenient access for residents and collectors on Long Island, the greater New York and Tri-State area, who visit the Hamptons during the summer or are looking for an art-filled day trip. Especially for those who are making day trips, the Fair offers ample on-site complimentary parking and valet service.

Once again Art Southampton has partnered with the New York Academy of Art, the country’s preeminent school of figurative painting, drawing and sculpture. The Academy will present an exhibition curated by renowned artist John Alexander, who brings a unique sensibility to this group show of remarkably talented Academy artists. The selection of work reflects the range and complexity of the Academy’s philosophy – a testament to the results of a rigorous, skills-based education – one that empowers an artist to take this time-honored knowledge and run with it in the pursuit of vital, contemporary art. A portion of sales will go directly to scholarships for Academy students.

Continuing its commitment to engaging the community in meaningful and informative dialogue, Art Southampton has collaborated with One Art Nation to offer The Art Symposium which brings together leading opinion leaders and industry experts to speak on a range of topics covering everything from the current structure of the art market to talks on succession planning, integrated art education programs collecting and protecting unusual art and art appraisal.
