MAG-Marsiglione Arts Gallery- with the patronage of the Association Luigi Russolo’s Archive presents the first Italian solo show of the famous artist photographer Renée Jacobs.

Renée Jacobs is an international artist, one of the most celebrated photographers of the female nude of our time; for 15 years she was a civil rights lawyer then she returned to her first love: photography.

Recipient of the prestigious International Photography Award for Fine Art Nude and Robert F.Kennedy Award for Outstanding Coverage of the Disadvanatged, her work has been published around the world by important magazines and newspapers such as The New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Silvershotz, Adore Noir, Ph Magazine, Fine Art Photo, Nude Magazine, Photoicon, French Photo, B&W Magazine, Focus, FHM Turkey and many more.

Her artwork is in the permanent collection of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library. Her first book Slow Burn was originally published in 1986 and re-issued in 2010 after favorable reviews in The New York Times.

MAG exhibits her famous photographs taken in Paris in 2013, the 2014 Venetian experience and some exclusive new snapshots where her models’ beauty is the subject and wonderful Lake Como is the background.

Through her work the artist shows us sensual moments and hidden corners of the mind, by her camera’s lens she wishes to catch the concealed emotions of the women that she portrays, representing their experiences she lets us see a part of their universe made up of thoughts, corporeality, attitudes, emotions, movements, elegance, beauty.

Her image’s balance is not given by lines, spaces or chromatic areas which demarcate the planes, it is not the geometry of the shapes or of the colors, but it is the equilibrium of the power that female beauty and the surrounding landscape have.
