Marsden Woo Gallery is delighted to announce our most ambitious group show to date in the form of Many a Slip, guest-curated by Marsden Woo Gallery artist and renowned British ceramicist Alison Britton.

Britton writes, ‘the cup is an object of much interest to me though a thing I rarely make. I have been collecting cups from foreign cities and flea markets and china shops for 40 years. The cup is a fundamental thing, a basic prop of human culture and civilisation.’

We have invited leading designers, artists and writers, reflecting the wide scope of our exhibition programme and interests, to take part in this project in the broadest possible sense. Visitors should look forward to an explosion of imaginative response from each of our gallery artists alongside a diverse selection of 93 participants including Glenn Adamson, Karen Bennicke, Quentin Blake, David Clarke, Sarah Campbell, Malene Hartmann Rasmussen, Rob Kesseler, Jock McFadyen, Maria Militsi and Richard Slee.

Taking place over 8 weeks of the summer, this is a rare opportunity to encounter work by such a remarkable array of leading creatives in a single show. It is an event not to be missed!
