Spaces and places, districts, the identity of a city spreads out and develops through the elements and symbols that characterize the territory more than anything else, acting just like a bookmark through the pages of a book. Walking through the streets you can breathe the atmosphere and notice the milestones that show the history and tell about the daily life of the city.

Houses surrounded by scaffolds, terraces with flowers, tramway tracks, commercial posters, local markets, different ethnic groups, rubbish bins in front of courtyards, scents and fragrances. Every district has its dynamics and changes continuously maintaining, however, its own DNA, a truly unshakable Milanese character. This is Milan: a lively, open, hospitable city. A city proudly bound to its traditions but which is able to change like Grendizer. The exhibition takes its title from latitude 45°N 09°E, thus stressing the link metropolis – arts, which finds its strength in the town’s history and ability to change.

The artists are connected with the gallery in different ways: some of them, like Andrea Salvino, Louise Guerra, Theo Mercier have been absolute protagonists of past exhibitions. Claudio Costa is represented by the gallery, which works in synergy with the Archivio Costa dealing with authenticity certifications.

Chiara Bugatti is presenting her solo exhibition at the end of 2017. Salvo has always been a good friend of the gallery manager’s, who really appreciates him as an artist. Mario Schifano, the eclectic par excellence, while Joseph Kosuth and Peter Belyi have many things in common, such as the etymological research, the use of neon lights as a rational, poetic expressive means, the literary contents.

Alberto Garutti has started collaborating with the gallery and he is the artist who most deeply represents Milan. He is professor at the polytechnic University for Arts and Design and he held the chair of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera until 2013. He created “Le voci della città“ for Piazza Gae Aulenti in 2014, a sculpture made of 23 golden aluminum pipes, leaving an indelible mark on the city’s heart.
