Unix Fine Art is proud to present a spectacular exhibition featuring the artists Andrzej Dragan and Andrew Holmes. Two European Artists with different backgrounds who explore realism in different ways and through different media.

At his young age, Dragan is a PHD and professor in Quantum Physics. He won dozens of physics awards nationally and internationally. Photography is the means through he best channels his creative and brilliant mind. His pictures are adventurous, intriguing, thoughts provoking and exciting: they definitely determine a strong impact on the viewer. His approach to photography and his style is a based from a study of the human brain and the interaction with the FFA (Fusiform Face Area), part of the brain responsible for face recognition. This interaction is what he like to observe; by creating a stimuli on the FFA he is altering the perception we have of any particular reality and experience. The observer become the observed and the impression left on our subconscious and memory will be forever remain in our impression.

Andrew Holmes approach on reality likes to describe real objects and see them through the lens of his capable skilled hands. His series of Pastries is an experience to live.Tasting a pastry or a cake is a sensory experience he claims and the use of food is a metaphor for a culture in which we seek fulfillment. The images reflect components of the human condition; desire, temptation, happiness, delight and satisfaction. The works seem to bring out memories of lost childhood, forgotten moments and nostalgic places. The sweetness and texture of the work will always be there to comfort us . The artist exhibits annually at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
