Alejandrina Solares

Alejandrina Solares was born in 1973 in the Dominican Republic, leaving in 1991 to move to Europe. She studied also at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan.

In her works the artist explores and analyses a deep and unifying them: the forms that our lifes takes in its expand and organization by and along topics and dimensions such as the human suffering, the physical pain and the awareness of the precariousness of our life.

Her works includes, among many of her goals, the study of those aspects of daily life that are normally neglected or perceived only in part. Those phenomenas, expressed through gestures and objects, are the residue, or waste, of our daily lives. The artist expresses herself with different means and form of artistic communication and realization belonging to the painting, sculpture, installation and performance arts.

Alejandrina Solares participated, since 1992, at personal and group exhibitions of national and international importance; including the Salon of the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, in 2006 and 2007, in Milan.
