Among monuments, restaurants, and churches, San Antonio is also a city that provides fun and entertainment. In fact, the city has four theme parks where adults and youngsters can enjoy the rides, the shows, as well as the beautiful warm weather.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas provides an assortment of award-winning shows, a match of thrill, family rides, and excitement for the entire family with a free water park in the summer. The park offers shows, such as Straight Country, Rocking at Rockville High, and Ritmos del Corazon. The all new Lone Star Nights Laser and Fireworks Celebration features a new storyline and technology for an advanced production including enhanced video projection, new lasers, audio, pyrotechnics and special effects. Visitors can also enjoy one of the parks thrilling roller coasters, including Goliath, racing at speeds of over 50 mph. Guests of all ages may enjoy the high-speed action on Road Runner Express, escaping boulders and racing in and out of The Rattler coaster. Young children can soar through the air on ZoomJets or hop on Buckarooz for a bouncing adventure. Visitors should make sure to bring their bathing suits in the summer time! But for the greatest water thrills, visitor should give Big Bender a try; this ride, in fact, delivers plunging dips, dark twisting tunnels, and refreshing waterfalls, with a 50 foot drop! Six Flags Fiesta Texas keeps the entertainment going with the Lone Star Lagoon, a Texas shaped wave pool filled with over half a million gallons of refreshing water. There are also restaurants and kiosks with snacks all around the park.

From Shamu to dolphins, sharks, seals, sea lions and much more, SeaWorld San Antonio is the world's largest marine life park. After watching Shamu’s shows or one of SeaWorld's shows, visitors can head over to the roller coasters with the Great White, which is Texas' first inverted steel roller-coaster or the Steel Eel for a bout of weightlessness. To settle down from all the riding, guests can ride Journey to Atlantis which is part roller coaster, part water ride.

The 65-acre Schlitterbahn Water Park Resort has been named the number one water park in the world by the Travel Channe; Schlitterbahn is not just the most popular summertime water park in the United States, but is also ranked as the number one Kid-Friendly destination in the state of Texas. Located on the banks of the spring-fed Comal River in New Braunfels, just North of San Antonio, and with well over 40 family attractions, Schlitterbahn has something for kids and adults of all ages, including tube chutes, water slides, uphill water coasters, pools, hot tubs, children water playgrounds, shady picnic ground, as well as year round resort rooms.

Splashtown San Antonio is a water park located in San Antonio; its most recent name was "Splashtown USA," and it was affiliated with Six Flags Splash Town in Houston. Splashtown San Antonio opened in 1985 as Water Park USA; it was later sold to Wave Management in 1989. Splashtown features a half-million-gallon wave pool, a quarter-mile-long lazy river, 40 water slides and tube rides (including 18 for guests under 48 inches (1,200 mm) tall), an activity pool with lily pads and balance logs, water and beach volleyball, and basketball.

San Antonio is a dynamic city full of life and always on the run; but its inhabitants also like to have fun, spend time with their families, and enjoy the nice weather. San Antonio fulfills its citizens’ needs by providing locals and tourists mind blowing theme parks.
