At Terme Preistoriche in Montegrotto Terme, just a few kilometers from Padua and Venice, in the heart of the Veneto region, Neró SPA New Experience opened its doors to the public this summer while awaiting the official inauguration which will take place from the 24th to the 27th of October 2019 which will involve a wonderful four day event with meetings, readings and music dedicated to health and wellbeing.

The new SPA was created on the “Noble” floor of the building which overlooks the centuries-old inner park, a truly enchanting place from where guests can admire the vapors rising from the panoramic thermal pools which are opened until midnight. This new 1200 square meter setting is in addition to the two outdoor thermal pools and the two indoor covered pools equipped with 56 whirlpools and 6 cervical waterfalls for a total water course of over 500 square meters. A multipurpose, holistic and avant-garde SPA, conceived as a work of art and an expression of the history of the location and the nature of a territory which for millennia knows and values the therapeutic qualities of its waters, becoming a harmonious union amongst SPA, territory and art.

Neró SPA is an absolute innovation in the Italian wellness panorama with its holistic confluence of thermal treatments that utilize the properties of salsobromoiodic waters and D.O.C. Mature Natural Mud of the Abano and Montegrotto Terme thermal basin. Aesthetic treatments, exclusive rituals with rigorously made in Italy wild Phyto cosmetic products, an entire area dedicated to Ayurvedic medicine, Private Spas and fitness offer are just some of the services available at this state-of-the-art and modern facility.

From the architectural point of view, the predominant use of glass offers guests the feeling of being fully immersed in the scenery of the Colli Euganei Regional Park, while the natural materials used such as wood, expressed in design elements, are in continuous dialogue with the environment and territory.

Water acts as a leitmotif to an overall well-being approach. After all the world neró in ancient Greek means drinking water which nourishes and hydrates.

All the equipment emerges from a large contoured water basin, outlined around its perimeter by a highly suggestive LED immersion lighting system. A vertical wall of water located right at the SPA entrance was created to feed the basin.

The Finnish Sauna is completely glazed and furnished with benches made of cedar wood which provide the room with a delicate fragrance. On special occasions, the sauna hosts rituals executed by prestigious Aufguss masters.

The Turkish Bath incorporates the finishes present in the SPA with floor, walls and ceiling covering and heated benches made in the innovative Ecomalta, specifically naturally treated.

The Hammam, completely made in Guatemala Green marble, distinguishes itself for the large glass front wall.

The Salt Cabin, with its cylindrical shape, features floor, walls, ceiling and seats completely covered in salt, according to the Baltic method and is characterized by the backlit wall in pink salt tiles.

We then find a series of Shower Paths with Cold Mist, Tropical Rain, Finnish Bucket and Ice Waterfall. Another element, the Kneipp path contoured by a LED lighting system, is composed by 3 circular elements containing cold and warm water. The Saline Pool shaped in EPS and covered in Ecomalta, allows guests to enjoy floating thanks to its high saline content.

The absolutely stunning dual innovations are: The Temazcal and the Kotatsu. The Temazcal is a particular circular, dome shaped element from ancient origins, typical of the pre-Columbian South American civilizations, the center of which becomes the connection point between body and spirit. Used to restore well-being and health, with healing and purification properties, the Temazcal is embellished with cedar wood seats of a unique shape, which provide warmth and a natural wood fragrance to the environment.

The Kotatsu is typical of the Japanese cultural tradition. Located in the Relax room, it is composed of a circular bench and a central table from which it is possible to enjoy herbal teas and infusions while keeping the legs in the low central basin.

In the wellness center there are also 5 massage rooms, 2 face treatment stations, 2 hand stations and 3 Ayurveda cabins.
