The British Street Art Scene is ever gaining momentum and our home-grown artists are consistently holding top titles for some of the world’s best graffiti artists. London is famed as the mecca for British street art, with Shoreditch holding its seat at the centre of this mecca. The Graffiti Life Gallery is proud to play it’s part in this cutting-edge artist community, and to show some love for our favourite city, we’ve chosen a special selection of the UKs best graffiti artists to produce London inspired works for our newest exhibition ‘Graffiti Life Presents… London’.

Whether they have lived here all their lives or just spent a short time in our capital, London has cultivated and inspired artists for centuries. Artists exhibiting in this show have also developed a special connection with our eclectic metropolis and their work takes the viewers on a journey through some of London’s most recognisable places, as well as those we perhaps tend to overlook. This show is an exciting alternative look at the bustling, vibrant and sometimes grimy city that many of us call home.

Graffiti Life is a London based art collective that has been producing work together for nearly 5 years. As well as sharing a studio space they all share a similar work ethic, however their style of art and indeed their method of creating pieces is very different.

Spraypaint is the weapon of choice for most members of the group, however it is not unusual to see oil paint, acrylic, ink, glitter and other mixed media within a 'Graffiti Life Presents' show. All the artists have produced work in the streets at some point or another, with some members of the collective still very active in the street art scene. The artists enjoy painting large mural works, being lucky enough to work internationally on several occasions, they are quickly gaining a reputation as some of the best large scale painters currently creating work.

Subjects for the artists paint works are as diverse and varied as the painters themselves and it is this mix that keeps the clued up public coming back to 'Graffiti Life Presents' shows. Styles range from traditional graffiti, to stencil works and photorealism, with the artists working together in close proximity and collaborating on different pieces they have learnt different disciplines from one another.
