Curated by Brian Kennedy, ‘Vase, Vessel, Void’ explores the evolution of the functional to abstraction through figuration. Kennedy's curation is a response to works that Oliver Sears has either collected or been interested in during the last twenty years. While the exhibition has a largely Irish focus there will be works by artists from other countries represented.

The exhibition will look at the movement from still-life to the functional, and towards abstraction in both fine and applied arts. This dialogue through objects by Gallerist, Oliver Sears and Curator, Brian Kennedy includes a broad range of two and three dimensional works.

The exhibition coincides with the general assembly of the International Academy of Ceramics www.aic-iac.org guaranteeing it an international audience of artists, writers, critics, private collectors, museum and gallery curators and educational institutions.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a gallery publication.
