This spring, Opera Gallery will host the cultural event of the season with the inauguration of its new Parisian address at 62, rue du faubourg Saint Honoré. In this magnificent environment, backdrop to some of the city’s most passionate historical pages, collections, solo and first-time exhibitions will embellish and espouse 1,000 square meters spread out over two floors devoted to art and art lovers.

Once the crown jewel to eminent French perfumer Roger & Gallet (until 1932), the Parisian Jet Set flocked to this famous boutique to discover the moving mannequins that decorated the front windows, as well as the original collections of artists such as Mucha, Fabiano and Méheut, famous for creating several series of perfume bottles and decorative items for the brand.

In 1991, this Art Deco palace became one of the hot spots of the fashion world thanks to the avant-garde genius of Gianni Versace who created the very first Flagship store of the genre. Today, Opera Gallery breathes life and energy into this quintessential venue while respecting its unique history, making it the perfect French setting for its modern and contemporary art collections.

Established in the heart of Paris since its creation in 1994, Opera Gallery renews its artistic commitment of the highest caliber: to offer a breathtaking setting with an exceptional glimpse into hitherto unseen, themed or individual exhibitions; to promote the works of up and coming talent by introducing them to the French public.

And because Opera Gallery is true to its philosophy, with the courage of its convictions it dedicates this creative space to the sharing and discovering of innovating exhibitions. Coming soon, the works of Indian sculptor Valay Shende and South Korean artist Son Bong-Chae. A new and innovative lighting system will further contribute to enhancing the international history of Abstract Art, Street Art, Photography and Design.

For its inauguration event, and as of April 16th, Opera Gallery is pleased to host a “Grand Opening” that will put into perspective the many facets of its collections, paying tribute to the artists it supports while introducing new talent to this unique endeavor.
