I think the Bansky market has become so solid. The interest from people around the world is quite significant. This work has to really be absorbed into an overall umbrella of contemporary art. Artists like Bansky have broken the shackles of being just urban artists. It’s not chumps buying the work. It’s very, very serious. - Steve Lazzarides 2015

Hang-Up Gallery are proud to present their upcoming winter exhibition Hibernate: a carefully curated group show featuring hand picked artworks from this years leading urban and contemporary artists.

To keep you warm over the frosty months, Hibernate will promise an eclectic selection of highly collectable pieces from some of the worlds most notorious creators including Banksy, Harland Miller, Sir Peter Blake, Invader and Takashi Murakami. New and exclusive works will also be featured from our top gallery artists such as Dave White, Joe Webb, Lauren Baker, Magnus Gjoen, Mark Powell, Rosie Emerson, The Connor Brothers and more.

In celebration of their new gallery space, Hang-Up will be officially opening the doors to their new vaulted Banksy Bunker - a dedicated Banksy room showcasing a permanent collection of the infamous artists’s most sought after works. If you’re looking for somewhere to hibernate from the cold this season, then look no further than the cosy confines of Hang-Up Gallery and their comforting winter exhibition.

The pioneer of the UK graffiti scene post millennium, Banksy was the first UK graffiti artist to successfully straddle the divide between street and fine art. Having initially built his reputation on a series of high profile public stunts, such as installing his own painting into the Tate Museum, Banksy has become a worldwide phenomenon of graffiti art and the leader of the street art movement. Originally from the UK, his identity has remained anonymous at all times and does not operate through the conventional gallery system, having no formal representation. All Banksy works sold through Hang-Up come with a COA. See our Banksy Guide and Banksy Editions Guide for more information.
