In the pursuit of the exploration of all possible relations to the space, Solo Gallery invites the designers Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen from the studio Muller Van Severen to display the original furnitures especially created for the second house of the Solo Houses collection project in Barcelona, conceived by Office KGDVS.

Within the framework of the extraordinary architectural project created by Christian Bourdais, Solo Houses - a domain of fifteen houses built by the most talented architects of their generation - Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen have been inspired by the realisation of Office KGDVS and have created the series «WireS#», objects made of stainless steel and adapted to an outdoor and indoor use.

«We have conceived these objects for the central courtyard and the artificial lake of Solo Office House. These elements looks like incurves mattresses, imitating the curvature of a paper sheet. In this way, we wanted to emphasize the opening of the space. The rocking chair is not made with massive materials as concrete or wood, but in a light metal plaiting. We can see through, enjoying the surrounding architecture.

The transparency make the object present and absent at once. It does not impose itself, but inscribe itself anyway in a sculptural gesture.» Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen
