Bernhard Johannes Blumes’ graphic work might not be as familiar as his photographic oeuvre, in which he, together with his wife Anna, found global recognition.

In his drawings, Blume creates varying and recurring image motifs in which he explores the interface of religion and philosophy. His works on paper bear witness to his inventive spirit, irony and poetry.

This exhibition comprises works from four decades. To accompany this, a catalogue, Bernhard Johannes Blume: Zeichnungen 1971 — 1980, will be published at Salon-Verlag.
