MAXXI is reconfiguring and tripling the spaces devoted to its permanent collections from 6 May. The presentation of the collection begins in the museum piazza featuring three new large-scale installations.

It then proceeds without interruptions on the ground floor, with a new permanent video gallery, while Gallery 1 houses a space devoted to the heart of the museum’s documentary collection: the Archive of the Incontri Internazionali d’Arte. The itinerary then proceeds with over 60 works of art, architecture and photography, with pieces from the Sixties through to the most recent period.

The Archives Centre instead features the exhibition Interiors: 10 architects and studios featured in the MAXXI Architettura collections, including Aldo Rossi, Carlo Scarpa and OBR, represent through projects and words the rooms of our daily lives.
