RxArt is proud to be working with Ed Ruscha at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Five images from Ruscha's iconic "Mountain Prints" series will be installed along a major corridor that leads to the hospital's Blood Donor Center. This main artery of CHLA annually sees over 40,000 visitors who have blood drawn and more than 5,000 for blood donor related surgeries.

It provides a waiting area for more than 11,000 patient families and visitors. CHLA's Blood Donor Center provides monthly care for children who need vital transfusions, be it for a staph infection, Sickle Cell Anemia, bone marrow transplant therapy or other critical needs. The installation of Ruscha's colorful mountain peaks overlaid with playful expressions will provide an engaging diversion for regular visitors to the Blood Donor Center, offering them encouragement to overcome imminent challenges as they received life sustaining care.

The mission of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is to "Create hope and build healthier futures," which RxArt is committed to complimenting with this project. CHLA is the top-ranked children's hospital in California and among the top 10 in the nation. Founded in 1901, CHLA was the first pediatric hospital in Southern California.

The hospital is home to the Saban Research Institute, one of the largest and most productive research facilities in the U.S., and is also a premier teaching hospital in partnership with the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California.
