From June 16 to November 11, 2018 the Lu.C.C.A (Lucca Center of Contemporary Art) shines a spotlight on the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, created in America.

In America is curated by Maurizio Vanni, organized in collaboration with Magnum Photos and the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation, with the support of MVIVA.

The exhibition, which consists of 101 black and white images, brings together the pictures that the Parisian co-founder of Magnum Photos made in the United States from the mid-1930s, when he first visited the country, to the end of the 60s. The pictures capture the reality and the essence of American life at the time, showing, in particular, the diversity of American society.
