Louis K. Meisel Gallery is proud to unveil Reflections, Ripples and Shadows— a Photorealist group show that studies the play of light. Reflections in glass, chrome and water, thematically bind together works by Robert Cottingham, Ralph Goings, and Bernardo Torrens, amongst others.

Capturing refracting light has long been of keen interest to realist painters, in that it presents unique challenges to the painter. In this series of work, the reflective surfaces vary greatly, and if you look closely, you can see that each painter takes their own approach.

As a complement to these light-focused works, we have a selection of Larry Kagan’s shadow sculptures interspersed in the exhibition. Reflections, Ripples and Shadows is on display from November 15th to December 22nd.
