The ALBERTINA Museum is the first museum in the world to turn its attention to the Poured Paintings of Hermann Nitsch.

It is sometimes in liquid form, sometimes with a pasty consistency that this artist applies his paint in these works, splattering or spraying it or even just smearing it with his bare hands.

This presentation impressively demonstrates Nitsch’s significance, tracing his oeuvre’s development from the early 1960s to the present.
