C.A.V.E. Gallery is pleased to present "Restitution 66", a solo exhibition showcasing new works by Restitution Press, AKA Ryan Graeff - whose iconic imagery has appeared in the streets of Los Angeles - and whose artwork has entered a new resurgence. The work is bold and skillfully executed with a clear vision.

Following a massive sold-out exhibition at C.A.V.E. Gallery last November, Restitution Press returns to the gallery with another ambitious body of work - this time, celebrating the historic Route 66. Borrowing from, and riffing on the signage and cultural iconography of the "Main Street of America", Restitution Press has created an impressive series of mixed media works with imagery that celebrates the dreams and aspirations of generations.

Restitution Press has been non-stop, pushing the boundaries and developing the skills of his trademark screen-print and paint process - creating multi-layered abstraction juxtaposed with crisp, hand-painted detail. Many of the pieces also incorporate original collaged imagery from vintage magazines, carefully selected with symbolic meanings and subtle humor. The pieces are full of recognizable imagery filtered through the lens of Restitution Press.

Each unique work is immediately engaging - full of color and pop imagery of American culture. The work depicts a world inspired by a brilliantly chromatic urban landscape that reflects freedom and the quest for adventure and new opportunity.
