This exhibition is a unique collaboration between award winning wildlife photographer, David Lloyd and acclaimed wildlife sculptor, Rosamond Lloyd (no relation). It will showcase the finest work of two artists who share a common inspiration and desire to capture the spirit of their subject matter. Bronze, Black & White is intended to be both a celebration of wildlife and a visual reminder of the importance of conserving the beautiful yet fragile natural world around us.

Multi-award winning photographer David Lloyd came to London from New Zealand in 1989. His favourite places are Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Botswana and Richmond Park, near his home.

He uses Nikon cameras, his pictures are crafted over many days, even months, and in the manner of a portrait artist, he likes to spend as long as possible with his subject. These are photographs to give lasting pleasure, to be seen on walls in frames, rather than speedy recollections of a moment.

Rosamond Lloyd (no relation) born 1973, found her true creative spirit when modelling with clay and wax. She finally decided to devote her life to sculpture after graduating in English and Drama, working in commercial radio, even taking a Diploma in Law. She returned to her ‘first love’ after the birth of her son, combining studies at art school with motherhood.

She had been a gifted artist from childhood, inspired by the countryside of Dorset and the New Forest and by the example of her talented grandmother. She now works exclusively as a sculptor from her studio at home in Oxfordshire. She was shortlisted for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year award, and exhibited at the Mall Galleries. She has been spending time this year in Zambia to collect material for her new body of work, which is cast in bronze by the famous Castle Foundry, a specialist in the lost wax technique, whose clients include Antony Gormley, Nic Fiddian-Green and Geoffrey Dashwood.
