Atlas of Emotions, which will be opening in autumn 2020, is an extensive solo exhibition by photographer Jari Silomäki (b. 1975). The earliest works in the exhibition were created in the early 2000s, but most of the works will be premièred in this exhibition.

Silomäki’s works depict the geopolitical events of the 21st century through subtle and private stories. The exhibition deals with issues such as the growing inequality of the population and rapidly increasing wealth of developing countries, the shared homeland created by internet servers, the public display of one’s own personal history and protection of privacy, as well as the effect of European political populism on people’s everyday lives. It is the relationship between an individual’s life story and the events that take place within society, and the intermingling of these two factors, which form the common thread of the exhibition.
