This year during Art Basel Week we a excited to present a variety of work that attempts to put the pre-conscious reaction ahead of the conceptual elements of each work of art. The selection we have chosen for this group show is not limited by materials used or categorized style, but was chosen for its ability to initiate a primal reaction before the brain can scan for messages, clues, or symbolism. That initial resonance, or the absence of it, establishes the strength of the bond to follow. Will the viewer be curious enough to explore the remaining aspects of the artwork, or pass over it without a second glance? This is the unifying theme of Resonance, kicking off the Miami Art Season 2013.

Please join us for this heart-provoking exhibition of canvases, digital media, and sculpture by the following group of artists: R.L. Alexander, Todd Andrew Babb, Catherine Bailey, Juan Sebastian Barbera, Santiago Betancur Z, Breceda, Dario, Franks Christopher, Barry Gross, Luis Jimenez, Nino Liguori, Susan Kaufman, Ancizar Marin, Romgo, Juan Rozas, Anya Rubin, Maria Sultan, & Robin White. Franck Olivas & Aurore Riva will be performing Essence Des Souffles & Gold Fantasy, two performance art pieces which combine the sensual trance of the female body in movement with the elements of pigment, light, and water.

Alberto Linero Gallery is located in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood Arts District, and shows work by established and emerging artists from all over the world. Santiago Betancur Z is one of the founding members of Alberto Linero Gallery and has remained an Artist-in-Residence since 2010.
