Our city streets are filled with so called ‘Vermin’ and at The Graffiti Life Gallery we feel that these ‘pests’ should be celebrated and this is reflected in this month’s show. Painted and curated by the Graffiti Life team, our graffiti artists have been hard at work creating all manner of vermin, from creepy crawlies to majestic animals of the night.

Graffiti Life is a London based art collective that has been producing work together for nearly 5 years. As well as sharing a studio space they all share a similar work ethic, however their style of art and indeed their method of creating pieces is very different.

Spray-paint is the weapon of choice for most members of the group, however it is not unusual to see oil paint, acrylic, ink, glitter and other mixed media within a 'Graffiti Life Presents' show. All the artists have produced work in the streets at some point or another, with some members of the collective still very active in the street art scene. The artists enjoy painting large mural works, being lucky enough to work internationally on several occasions, they are quickly gaining a reputation as some of the best large scale painters currently creating work.

Subjects for the artists paint works are as diverse and varied as the painters themselves and it is this mix that keeps the clued up public coming back to 'Graffiti Life Presents' shows. Styles range from traditional graffiti, to stencil works and photorealism, with the artists working together in close proximity and collaborating on different pieces they have learnt different disciplines from one another.

This exhibition explores the mangy, bedraggled critters that most of us ignore, giving you a new perspective on our city dwelling creatures. Whether you find beauty or repulsion in the work of our selected street artists we promise you a unique experience. If you have a curiosity for London’s wild creatures, why not pop into the gallery and take a look yourself?

What’s more, we’re delighted to announce our collaboration with Auchentoshan Whiskey who provided amazing ginger beer cocktails on the opening night.

We hope to see you there, you dirty rat!
