Jessie Gubbins

Last year I graduated from the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Bra, Piemonte, and am now dedicating most of my time to discovering the undiscovered in the world of food. After moving to Italy, three years ago, it was as though I discovered the joys of food all over again, particularly as I became involved in Italian culture and interacting with the locals of my (new) hometown, Bergamo.

I began to travel to new places using restaurants and street food as a way to get to know the local culture - no more museums! My life has changed completely, from the beaches of Australia to a small town in North Italy, I love using my terrible italian language to share my obsessions with food, meet the local home cook and continue discovering the ingredients that are keeping traditions alive.
