Rebeca Scurtu

Rebeca is an art appassionata, specializing in curating, discovering and promoting new artistic talents and potential cultural directions. After graduating the University of Arts, she made some researches in Psychology, which helped her grasp the inner complexities and drivers of the human expression. She has volunteered a lot in international non-governmental organizations such as: Save the Children, Peace Corps, AIESEC.

These experiences have brought a new brighter light on how she perceived and understood the others, opening her to a cultural diversity that has changed her life. Rebeca has continued her studies with online Arts and Culture Strategies courses at the University of Pennsylvania. She is now working in the business environment by day, feeding herself with contemporary art by night and thus trying to blend the two dual complementary parts of her life in the most creative and interesting way possible.

She currently lives in Bucharest, Romania re-discovering her roots and she is constantly focusing on pursuing her bold dream of working in the contemporary curatorial field. Rebeca is a traveler, writer, dreamer, sea-lover, photographic-adventurer, experimenter of non-conventional forms of art. Secretly dancing ballet, she prefers hand written letters and calls herself an aesthetic introvert.

“Art is a form of consciousness,” Susan Sontag wrote in her diary.
