Genevieve Northup moved with her husband and Labrador mix from Texas to Germany in 2009. Since arriving abroad, Genevieve has sought adventure in nearly 40 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. She’s snorkeled with manta rays in the Maldives, jumped from Croatian cliffs, hiked the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, bashed Dubai’s desert dunes in a 4x4, and scuba dived in Thailand.
Though traveling is Genevieve’s main leisure pursuit, she is at home wherever there is good food. Genevieve loves to experiment in the kitchen, try new restaurants, and enjoy specialties from around the globe. She’s taken cooking lessons in Tuscany, Paris and Germany, but she learned the most from her mom, a true southern belle.
Genevieve holds a B.S. in public relations and MBA. She has a decade of experience working in the private, nonprofit and government sectors. Genevieve is currently a staff writer-editor and content producer for a U.S. government media organization. Additionally, Genevieve contributes articles to travel websites, volunteers as an educator for community organizations, and creates jewelry from vintage findings.
