Born in Rosario, Argentina (1956). Marcelo studied psychology and philosophy in his hometown. He has lived and worked in several Latin American countries: Nicaragua, El Salvador, Venezuela, always in the field of social programs and human rights, and he has lived in Guatemala for more than 20 years. He is a psychoanalyst, social researcher and university professor. He writes regularly in various electronic media on political-social issues. He has also dabbled in literature (short stories), and won several awards.
