With a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences from Rennes 1 University (France), François Soulard started as a project manager for the Nord-Pas de Calais Regional Council in France, working on a variety of topics, including land planning and themes stretching from education to sustainability.
In 2003, after the founding of the Traversées Association, he carried out a three-year itinerant project around the world, with the aim of evaluating and looking into initiatives of collective action and alternative and solidarity-based development.
Since 2006, he has participated in various social movements and citizens’ assemblies in Latin America, Africa and Asia. His work focuses mainly on individual and collective transformation, political communications, sustainability and governance systems.
Since 2012, he has been involved in the Forum for a new World Governance and coordinating of a digital platform supporting citizen networks and initiatives that offers online tools for publishing, remote collaboration, debate and collective intelligence.
