April Dell

April Dell is an art writer from New Zealand, living and working in Berlin since 2012. Contemporary art has long been a passion of hers, and she loves nothing more than seeing, experiencing, writing about, and reading about art. She has a B.A. from Otago University, New Zealand, where she studied Art History and Film and Media Studies. April is a regular contributor to online magazine Berlin Art Link, where she writes about the dynamic and progressive contemporary art scene in Berlin. April also has a Graduate Certificate in Communications and Public Relations and provides freelance communications services within the arts and culture industry.

In collaboration with the Institute for Art and Innovation in 2018, April worked on the project The Universal Sea - a global platform and community for artists, innovators, activists tackling the plastic pollution epidemic. One of the project's achievements was producing a 500-page print book, on which April contributed as a writer, editor, and graphic designer, showcasing creative responses to plastic pollution by artists, innovators and social initiatives from around the world.
