Stefanie Ettelt

Stefanie Ettelt is a social scientist and expert in health policy and health systems research. She is Associate Professor in Health Policy at the Department of Health Services Research and Policy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her work includes health policy and systems comparisons, mostly of European countries, evaluations of novel health and social care policies and investigations into the relationship between science, policy and politics. She has published in a number of scientific journals including Health Politics, Policy and Law and Health Economics, Policy and Law and contributed to various edited volumes.

She is a Doctor in Public Health, has Master of Science in Health Population and Society of the London School of Economics and Political Science and a degree in Literature and Political Science of the University of Bonn, Germany.

Before joining academia, Stefanie worked as a senior media officer for the German Foundation for World Population, an advocacy organisation for reproductive health and rights in Germany. She currently lives in London and Amsterdam.
