Boris Cizelj

Born 1942, studied economics & political science, founder-director of research institute on developing countries in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

1987-1991 Yugoslav Ambassador to Australia, an then 1992-1997 Slovenian Ambassador to EU and NATO.

1999-2014 Director Slovenian Business & Research Association (lobbying bureau) in Brussels.

In 2011 created global Knowledge Economy Network, KEN, now with 78 members worldwide.

Since 2020 KEN coordinates Sustainability Network of Networks, SNN, attempting to connect numerous actors worldwide contributing to a more sustainable future for world community. Editor of KEN Weekly Brief and Monthly Bulletin.

Teaching interest representation and lobbying at various universities: at European Center for Peace and Development, ECPD Belgrade; DOBA Business School, Maribor (where he was the first Dean), and Alma Mater Europaea, Maribor Center.

Since 2015 Adviser to the director of Slovenian Innovation Hub - SIS EGIZ, Ljubljana, responsible for the domain of innovation ecosystem.
