The annual National Book Festival, will be held on September 24th and 25th, 2011 at the National Mall in Washington, DC; this event, sponsored by the Library of Congress, is a celebration of the delight of books and reading, and it gives visitors the chance of meeting over 80 award-winning authors, illustrators and poets who will talk about and sign their books.

At the National Book Festival pavilions are set up for fiction & mystery, history & biography, children & teens, poetry, and home & family. Two new field pavilions will be added, the urban fiction and graphic novels. The subject of this year’s event will be "Celebrating the joys of reading aloud."
