The 26 July 2012 at 7.30pm will be held the concert by Thea Farhadian "Solo Violin and Interactive Electronics".

"Solo Violin and Interactive Electronics". These structured improvisations are from a set of work that explore the interaction of the violin with electronics with real time processing. This evening will have two 20-minute sections followed by a discussion with the audience.

The concert will be held in concomitance with the solo exhibition by Michele Spanghero "Empty matters" at Galerie Mario Mazzoli, Berlin.

About Thea Farhadian
Thea Farhadian is an interdisciplinary artist and performer based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Her projects include solo violin and interactive electronics, improvisation, laptop performance, sound art, and video.

Thea's work has been seen internationally at venues, which include the Meridian Gallery in San Francisco, the Center for Experimental Art and the Aram Kachaturyan Museum in Yerevan, Armenia, the Alternative Museum and Issue Project Room in New York City, Salon Bruit in Berlin, and the International Women's Electroacoustic Listening Room Project in Amsterdam and Los Angeles.

Thea studied Arabic classical music in New York City, San Francisco, and in Cairo. She has an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco State and an M.F.A. in Electronic Music from Mills College.

In 2009, she was a lecturer in the Art Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
