Training has lived a continuous innovation process to respond to the educational demands that emerge from social, economic, scientific, labour and technological changes, and due to the challenges that the world development faces. The planet is moving fast and today, it is important to be updated, to keep track of the new tendencies, to avoid obsolescence. For many companies, training their executives and workers has been the key to stay current: courses that teach how to operate a machine, how to manage a business, how to interpret figures.

Today´s tendency is to humanize the training process. Training is a continuous method that has to nurture people in three aspects: theory, social behaviour, human development. The human being is set in the centre of the process seeking for personal empowerment.

Well, basics are back in fashion. There is a strong trend to return to the foundations that fortify the human being. Training has to favour development. Large companies, corporate business, transnational institutions, top universities include in their training programs issues seeking personal progress.

Men and women that participate in our teamwork are in the spot light. The core idea is to enhance each member´s development. Theory and technical aspects are important, but it is also relevant that we notice that we work with people, with flesh, bones, hearts and minds; with dreams and worries. So individuals are the main characters of the scene. Training embraces the person and brings tools to cultivate human and social aspects. It is the field which is concerned with organizational activity aimed at bettering the performance of individuals and groups in organizational settings.

Training today helps to flourish creativity, propels initiative, and gives the opportunity to make a self-analysis. Training aids to have an objective view of who we are and what we want to be. Training sets the ground to develop the competences needed to carry on, our own way, with the responsibilities that we have to face in the workplace, in our family, with our friends. It is so, because a person does not perform an only role in life; especially in today´s world. We are executives, parents, sons or daughters, wives or husbands, tennis players or runners, readers or writers, social media members, teachers or students, bosses or employees.

Once the person has made the self-analysis and feels happy and proud it is important to develop the social aspect. Companies are more and more aware of the relevance of sharing an activity other that work. They are hosting reading circles where debate is welcome; sports competition in which winning or losing is not such a big deal, artistic workshops in which people can show their talents.

This training tendency is enlightening a new way to build strong working teams. Theory is just another complement of the process. This way technic knowledge is one of the links of the chain. The central issue is to develop talent. Talent development encompasses a variety of components such as training, career improvement, career management, organizational development, personal achievement, social skills. It is expected that during the 21st century more companies will begin to promote a comprehensive growth.

Training is going back to basics, centred in the human being as the most important element of the company. People are seen as the main asset of the corporation. This new tendency is process via which an individual is supported while achieving a specific personal or professional result or goal. The method is designed to facilitate thinking or learning new behaviours for personal growth or professional advancement. This enables the learner to discover answers and new ways of being based on their values, preferences and unique perspective.

Training, nowadays, is making sure people do what they know how to do. It involves teaching persons to do what they don’t know how to do; mentoring and showing how the people who are really good at doing something do it; helping individuals come to terms with issues they are facing; assisting to identify the skills and capabilities that are within the person, and enabling them to use them to the best of their ability.

When I say training is going back to basics, I mean that a modern trainer must have a human vision to help people build himself so that he can be the base that supports the development of organizations. Ethics, empathy, assistance set foot on the entrepreneurial world to help people be better. Maybe that way, people will make a better world.
