We are a group of Cortona-week enthusiasts who, when informed of the official closing of the Cortona-week, gathered around Prof. Luisi — the original founder of the Cortona-week — with the firm commitment of keeping the Cortona-idea and mission alive. For this purpose, we have founded a non-profit organisation — an Italian APS (Associazione di Promozione Sociale) based in Rome with a regular statute (in Italian). The main goal of this APS is to promote the continuation of the Cortona-week project, in particular aimed at the fostering of a new class of world leaders.

Our CortonaFriends Association consists until now of about 40 members and is open to all those who believe in the principles of the Cortona-week. Please join, be with us. The social contribution is 100 euro/year, but you can also become a founding member with 1000 euro or more.

The first of our experiments will take place from the 23rd to the 30st of June 2018 in Todi, with an event called Todi-week intended as a rejuvenation and re-birth of the Cortona-week. This intent of renovation and rebirth has also driven us to the new location, Todi, in Umbria, which has been chosen for its beauty and liveability (an international panel defined it the most liveable city in the world). The history, and the content, of the Cortona-week and the details of the Todi-week can be found in this web site.

The Association has a chairman (P.L. Luisi) and a staff composed, for the moment, by the webmaster and businessman Simon La Rosa, and of five young people: Francesca Vitalini, Matteo Allegretti, Rocco Gaudenzi, Stella de Sabata, Adelina Soldi, a list which may be enlarged and internationalized later on.

Besides the next Todi-week, we also intend to plan, following the indications of our Statute, additional events (e.g., working weekends) throughout the year. At the moment, all these activities are self-financed since a major sponsor has not been found yet. We are setting up a crowd-founding, and we would be happy if you start by spreading the word of the new Cortona generation and the need of corresponding financial support all over the world.
